Donovan's Irish Cobbler is a unique restaurant business for several reasons. Jim Donovan, son- Jacob Donovan, and a close family friend- Brandon Poteet run the business with complete dedication. This is a team that has learned to work together after a long fine-tuning process. A process that turned this family oriented business into a superior venture that offers quality food and impeccable customer service. 

Every member of the team brings vast experience on the restaurant business and we all contribute to different aspects of running a restaurant efficiently. We are in a constant battle with ourselves to ensure the satisfaction of every person that eats at our restaurant. We fight this battle on all fronts by upgrading technology, maintaining constant industry research, and providing competitive solutions within the restaurant business. 

Growing up in Illinois, we loved to eat a dish called the "Horseshoe", which originated in Springfield. We decided that it would be an excellent idea to bring the "Horseshoe" to Georgia and introduce along with our Irish traditions. We know that you will like the "Horseshoe" as much as we do!

Our priority is to ensure your satisfaction from the moment you walk into our restaurant to the final bite of your meal. We know that your satisfaction is the key to our success in this business and that has made us earn a reputation in customer service and menu quality.

How the name Donovan's Irish Cobbler came about:

We went through a very difficult process when trying to come up with the perfect name for our restaurant. After so many brainstorming meetings, it came down to the basics. We are an Irish pub introducing a horseshoe sandwich to the South with a specialty dessert. We asked ourselves, what anyone else would do in our situation and just out of curiosity, we Googled "Irish Cobbler" and the results felt like we ended up striking gold. 

It so happens that an Irish Cobbler is a variety of Irish potato, and everyone knows about cobbler desserts. The real kicker to the story is that a Cobbler is also a shoemaker. Realizing the rough similarity between a horseshoe and a cobbler the catchy name just stuck. Thus, Donovan's Irish Cobbler was born.
